DYLVN

Bio

Born and raised in San Clemente, California, DYLVN is carving out his own lane in alternative rock with a sound he calls “Ocean Emo.” With a name rooted in the meaning “son of the ocean” and a sound shaped by life along the Southern California coast, the connection runs deeper than a genre. Blending elements of alternative rock, emo, reggae and singer-songwriter influences, DYLVN follows the music wherever it takes him, creating a sound that feels unmistakably his own.

Since beginning to release music in 2020, DYLVN has built a growing audience through streaming success, creative social campaigns, and an instinct for connecting with people beyond the music itself. Tracks like “Drunk On Drugs” and “Feeling For Nothing” have generated millions of streams across platforms, while “Cocaine Barbie” continues to find new life with listeners. His reach extends beyond the songs themselves: live performances, an acoustic car rendition of “Drunk On Drugs,” and a tour prank that spread widely across social media have introduced audiences to the personality, humor, and chemistry behind the music. His self-driven campaign for “Queen Of Love” further reflects an artist who understands the value of finding creative ways to bring people into his world.

That same spirit carries over to the stage. In 2023, DYLVN began building his own touring circuit by inviting fans to choose the venues, then showing up with his band and the equipment to make the shows happen. He carried that momentum into 2024, independently booking and performing 24 shows, many at college fraternities he reached through direct messages or simply knocking on doors. Some stops became repeat destinations, turning first-time audiences into familiar faces and demonstrating the power of building a following one show at a time.

For DYLVN, it’s about more than streams or algorithms. It’s about writing music with his closest friends, getting out on the road, playing shows, and creating genuine connections with the people who discover his music. That independent, hands-on mentality is central to who he is as an artist.

After spending much of 2025 in the studio, DYLVN is preparing for his next chapter with new music on the horizon, including an EP ahead of a full-length album planned for spring or summer 2027, followed by extensive touring across the United States.

With his roots in coastal California, an evolving alternative-rock sound, and a growing audience drawn to both the music and the personalities behind it, DYLVN is building a world of his own — one show, one song, and one connection at a time.
