Jesse Welles Recruits Daniel Donato & S.G. Goodman For Festive Bob Dylan Covers

Jesse Welles was in the collaborative spirit during his appearances last weekend at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival and Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. S.G. Goodman and Daniel Donato separately shared the stage with Welles for Bob Dylan covers at each event.

The first duet occurred on Friday in Lyons, Colorado, where both Welles and Goodman were on the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival lineup. The pair of singer-songwriters linked up on Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” performed by the duo alone on the festival stage.

Welles then headed over to Alta, Wyoming, for an appearance on Saturday at the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. Donato – who was on the fest’s lineup with his Cosmic Country bandmates – reemerged during Welles’ set for another Dylan duet.

Having worked out an arrangement backstage at Grand Targhee Resort, the two played acoustic guitar while taking up “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” as part of Welles’ headlining set.
