In a room filled with instruments and equipment, bookshelves lined with dozens of honors – including a boat of Blues Music Awards and a Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame induction – the bright piece of paper stands out. It’s a mantra and reminder, and the title of Foster’s new album.
“It’s come with me everywhere,” she affirms of the note. “If it gets lost, falls off, I just put on another one. I started doing that just before I moved to Austin, when I was just getting going and just wanted an opportunity. That’s my thing.”
